With computers getting more and more complicated, you need to be
a tech support expert to figure things out. Who has time for that?
That's where I come in. I've been tinkering with computers for
20 years, and still enjoy solving tech questions. What's yours?

How can I provide tech support to mom?

Message: Is there any kind of reliable way I can connect to my mom’s
computer (in Texas) and help her troubleshoot things? I’ve seen GoToMyPC, but that costs some bucks each month.

Why does my computer laugh at me?

Whenever I turn my computer on it starts to load with no
problems… After about 20 seconds it starts to laugh at me then shuts off.

Process

I answer as many questions as I can. You'll typically get an e-mail from me when I post your answer (give me a day or two).

About me

Bill Pliske wears many hats: a self-proclaimed geek, award-winning designer, Goodyear resident, husband and father of three.

He is currently a design director for The Arizona Republic and azcentral.com, and you'll find him on evenings and weekends moonlighting as a freelance designer and entreprenuer.

House calls?

Yep, I do 'em. If you can't find your answer here, or your problem is too complex to explain on these pages, just let me know. Click on the "Post a question" button up top, and explain your problem, what kind of computer you have, your operating system and how I can get in touch with you. I can typically give you a rough quote via e-mail or over the phone. (Goodyear area only)
